We have been running the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for several years and believe strongly in personalised service. As such, if you have your own ideas of what you want then please call or email and we will be happy to discuss bespoke courses & expeditions to suit your needs.
Our aim is to help you realise your full potential in what ever way we can, in a safe learning environment.
We can run training & assessments at Bronze & Silver level and can provide Accredited Assessors and Supervisors for walking, canoeing, & mountain biking both in the UK and abroad up to the Gold level.
We can run evening sessions in your school or centre, depending on where you are based, or we can provide intensive 1 day or 2 days training programmes to include a night out if you wish. This can cover; camp craft, navigation, emergency procedures, food & cooking, environmental issues, elements of “Leave No Trace”, route cards, first aid, teamwork, etc.
Advice and ideas on areas for routes, route cards and aims can be provided. We have a supply of tents and stoves that can also be loaned.
At the end of any training we will give advice and feedback on “where do I go from here” ?
All staff are Mountain Leader qualified, hold First Aid Certificates and have CRB checks. All staff are experienced leaders and trainers and have a great deal of experience working with young people.
Prices can start from as little as £40 per person per day.
GoVenture also offers guided walking for adults & young people in Scotland for groups or individuals. This can include Navigation training and Winter Skills training. We look forward to hearing from you.
